Over the last decades, Africa has been the world capital of poverty, we are been descriminated for our color, for our accent, and our concatenated hatred for ourselves. I have always asked myself why Africa has always been the most descriminated race. Is it because of our color?, or we have offended GOD in the past? However let me take you back to history.
In the 1400's, portugese ships explored the coast of West Africa, looking for a route to india . They built small fortes along the West African coast to trade for gold, collect food and water, and repair their ships.
The portugese lacked the power to push into the African interior. They did however attacked the coastal cities , such as Mombaza and Malinda, which were hubs for international trade .
The portugese, however gained profit from their victories. Other European also followed the footstep of the portugese, they exchanged so many acessories. For enslaved Africans, the middle passage was a horror . Once purchased, the Africans were packed below the ships. Slave ships became ''floating coffin'' on which most African died due to diseases. Some slaved Africans escaped and tried to take control of the ship. They escaped but no single African taught of saving their people instead they fought over one's territory.
African leaders Resist
Some African leaders tried to slow down the slave trade thanks to king Affonso. Affonso insisted that it is our land and we are not going to be subjected to anything . In 1770 another leader called Futu Soro in Northern senegal also regected it . Although the problem grew many years after their intervention.
Impact To Our Present day
The problem of Africa would continue to grow only if our leaders remember that they are called for service and not to enrich their bank account, we will not grow untill we make use of our natural resourses like i would always say WE GOT GOLD WHICH CAN NOT BE SOLD, WE HAVE SILVER WHICH CAN NOT BE DELIVERED, WE HAVE OIL WHICH CAN NOT BE EXPLOID. Our problems would vanish if we turn everything around.
